Fact-Checking Policy – GetIntangible.com
At GetIntangible, our commitment to accuracy, integrity, and responsible journalism is unwavering. We take every possible step to ensure that the information we publish is reliable, well-sourced, and free from bias or distortion.
Our Fact-Checking Principles
a) We strive to publish accurate and trustworthy information across all of our content. Our editorial process includes thorough research, questioning assumptions, and challenging conventional narratives when necessary.
b) We are committed to achieving due accuracy—accuracy that is appropriate to the subject and nature of the content. Where necessary, we transparently acknowledge any limitations or context that may affect the accuracy of our reporting.
c) All published content is:
- Well-sourced, based on available and verifiable evidence.
- Reviewed for accuracy, context, and fairness.
- Honest about what is unknown or developing, avoiding speculation.
d) Our team never deliberately plagiarizes, distorts facts, or misrepresents visual or textual information. Upholding the truth is central to our credibility.
e) We seek independent verification of all major claims, especially those involving public figures or entities with potential agendas. When verification isn’t possible, we attribute the information accordingly and with appropriate caution.
f) If we discover factual inaccuracies, we move swiftly to correct the information and communicate those changes transparently to our readers.
g) We do not mislead, distort facts, or present fabricated information. In the rare event that a serious error is identified, we issue a clear and visible correction.
h) Every published article includes a ‘Suggest a Correction’ section to give readers a direct channel for reporting potential inaccuracies.
i) All content undergoes editorial review. The complexity, sensitivity, and urgency of the story determine the number and seniority of editors involved in the fact-checking and publishing process.
