Purpose

    • Comply with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Avoid bringing disrepute to the organization if publicly disclosed.
  • No payments, commissions, or other forms of compensation may be made to associates of partners, clients, or other stakeholders without a formal written agreement.

Receiving Gifts, Favors, Entertainment, or Payments

  • Associates must not seek or accept gifts, favors, entertainment, or payments from individuals or entities seeking to do business with GetIntangible, unless there is a legitimate business purpose.
  • Acceptable exceptions may include:
    • Nominal-value gifts customary in professional settings.
    • Business courtesies that do not influence decision-making or create conflicts of interest.
  • Strict standards apply to any gifts from vendors, advertisers, or content contributors.

Conflicts of Interest

  • Associates must avoid situations where personal interests conflict—or appear to conflict—with the interests of GetIntangible.
  • Any potential conflicts must be disclosed immediately to management.
  • This includes:
    • Holding ownership in businesses that work with or compete against GetIntangible.
    • Serving in roles (consulting, advisory, etc.) for competing organizations.
    • Any actions that may compromise editorial independence or business integrity.

Confidential Information

  • Breach of this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Compliance and Reporting

    • Harassing, threatening, or discriminatory.
    • Infringing on others’ privacy.

  • Associates must comply with all applicable laws, including:

Report Concerns

  • Concerns about potential policy violations should be reported to Human Resources.
  • GetIntangible prohibits any form of retaliation against employees who raise concerns in good faith.

  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
  • All content must reflect original work and proper attribution.
  • Journalistic fairness requires providing all parties in a story the opportunity to respond or clarify their perspectives.
